The maintenance and upkeep of valves during use are important measures to ensure their normal operation and extend their service life. The following are the specific maintenance and upkeep methods:

1. Regular inspection frequency: Regular inspections should be conducted based on the usage frequency and working environment of the valve. Generally speaking, for commonly used valves, they should be inspected at least once a month. For valves that are not frequently used, they should be inspected once every quarter or half a year.

Check the on-off status, sealing performance, leakage, vibration and noise of the valve, etc. Special attention should be paid to checking whether the sealing surface of the valve is worn, whether the trapezoidal thread of the valve stem and the valve stem nut is worn, and whether the packing has failed, etc.

2. Keep the exterior clean: Use a soft cloth to wipe the exterior of the valve to remove dirt and impurities. Avoid scratching with hard objects to prevent damage to the valve surface.

Internal cleaning: Regularly clear the debris and sediment inside the valve to ensure smooth flow of the valve.

3. Lubrication and Maintenance Lubrication Parts: The moving parts of the valve, such as the valve stem and the valve stem nut, need to be lubricated regularly to reduce friction and wear.

Lubricant selection: Choose the appropriate lubricant, such as lubricating oil or grease, based on the usage conditions and materials of the valve. Lubrication cycle: Lubricate according to the prescribed cycle to avoid overlubrication or underlubrication.

4. Inspection and tightening of loose parts: Regularly check whether the bolts on the flange and bracket of the valve are loose. If any are loose, tighten them in time.

Increase the number of tightening times: For valves that vibrate frequently, the number of tightening times needs to be increased to ensure their safe operation.

5. Replacement of Vulnerable Parts Identification: The vulnerable parts of a valve include seals, packing, bearings, etc. These components need to be replaced regularly to ensure the normal operation of the valve.

Replacement standard: Choose reliable original factory parts for replacement and avoid using substandard substitutes. At the same time, before replacement, a check should be carried out to confirm that the replaced parts are consistent with the model and specification of the valve.

6. Anti-corrosion Treatment Corrosion Prevention: For valves that are prone to corrosion, anti-corrosion treatment is required. The methods of anti-corrosion treatment include applying anti-corrosion paint and selecting corrosion-resistant materials, etc.
